Visit New Lanark - World Heritage Centre award winner, and the Falls of Clyde. Explore the unusual museums of Biggar, sample some of the best ice cream in Scotland, visit the Puppet Theatre and play-park, or have a round of golf. There is pay as you play golf available at Kaimes and Rutherford Castle near West Linton. Stroll along Peebles High Street with its varied shops, have a swim in the lovely swimming pool by the River Tweed, or expend more energy tackling the world famous mountain bike trails at Glentress or indoors at the Gytes Leisure Centre. Visit Edinburgh and Glasgow, both centres of cultural and architectural interest befitting cities of their status, and both with excellent shopping centres. The world-renowned Roslin Chapel is a short 20 minute drive away. For a quieter town, try Moffat, with its boating pond and putting green, or the conservation village of West Linton, with 2 golf courses close by. All types of outdoor activities and country pursuits are widely available throughout the area. Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Tweed Valley, or head north and cross the Forth Road Bridge into Fife, or perhaps go westwards to Loch Lomond.
